Woman charged for running meth lab in home
Eau Claire -- A Chippewa County mother is charged after investigators say she and her husband were running a meth lab out of their home.
Kelly Snider, of Cadott, faces drug and child neglect charges.
The criminal complaint says investigators searched Snider's home and found materials used to make meth. Snider's husband Clint admitted that the two make meth and smoke it in the house near where their two young girls store their toys and clothing.
Kelly faced similar drug and child neglect charges four years ago. She was found guilty of failing to prevent child abuse. Clint has not been charged in this case.
Man burned in mobile meth lab explosion
DEKALB COUNTY, Indiana -- A Stroh man is hospitalized in the burn unit at Saint Joe Hospital in Fort Wayne.
22 year old Jeremy Knox was burned on his face and other body parts last weekend when authorities say a bottle, apparently containing chemicals, exploded in his hand while he was shaking it. Knox was riding in a car in rural DeKalb County at the time.
Police say the driver of the car, 23 year old Shane Zimmerman of Topeka, told them the bottle was part of a meth lab. Investigators found a bag of other suspected meth ingredients near the scene. They say the bag had been tossed from the car.
Zimmerman was arrested during the investigation.
