Teenagers caught up in meth trafficking

Fairfield, TX - More than $100,000 worth of Methamphetamines was seized by Mexia Police officers and the Freestone Sheriff's Office Tuesday evening in Fairfield. This has been an ongoing investigation and the four people they've arrested are not only young drug traffickers but a part of a much bigger drug ring.

"Younger individuals, they don't realize the ramifications of what they're doing. They're just looking to make quick money and also because they're at a young age they feel they won't have serious consequences," said Lieutenant Joe Coy of the Waco Department of Public Safety Narcotics Division.

Middle school teacher hit with meth charges

Forsyth County, GA - A Dawson County Middle School teacher faces felony drug charges after his arrest earlier this month in Forsyth County.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s investigators say 35-year-old Clinton Ernest Pruitt was released from the local jail on July 14 after posting $27,500 bond.

Meth lab count at 40 so far  

Clermont, FL - Another Lake County methamphetamine lab is no longer in business. Late Wednesday night, Lake County Sheriff's detectives busted one at the Palace Hotel.

Because of the toxic chemicals used, manufacture of meth is a dangerous and highly malodorous process. For that reason, labs are often set up in out-of-the-way locations. This one was in a hotel.
