Arrests mount to 65 in drug investigation
Phelps County, MO - Two area people were among the 27 arrested Aug. 7 in connection with a long-term narcotics investigation.
Law enforcement agencies working jointly on the 18-month investigation previously arrested 38 other individuals July 27 on drug-related charges.
Leilani A. Fuentes, 44, of Waynesville, was arrested on a Phelps County warrant for distribute, deliver, manufacture, produce, or possess a controlled substance; and Nicholas J. Light, 20, of Richland, was arrested on a Phelps County warrant for distribute, deliver, manufacture, produce, or possess a controlled substance.
Homeless man alerts police to meth lab
Cathedral City, CA - A transient who was dumpster-diving Sunday near Cathedral City's City Hall found discarded meth lab gear and chemicals in boxes next to the trash container, and police today called out trained specialists to clean up the hazardous materials.
The unidentified transient found the boxed-up methamphetamine lab remnants about 7:45 a.m. today next to a dumpster in the 68700 block of Perez Road, a quarter-mile north of state Route 111, according to police Sgt. Scott Sharpe.
Police arrest man who made meth in storage unit
Galesburg, IL - A Galesburg man is in trouble with the law after authorities discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab in a storage locker.
Galesburg Police reports indicate officers were called to a storage unit in the 1800 block of Windish Drive in the Hawthorne Center area around 6:15pm Sunday, when the storage company's owner found a man passed out in the shed.
