Citizens group monitors meth activity

Stayton, OR - Meth-busters is a group of concerned citizens in Stayton that monitor the activities of known meth users, while keeping an eye on the activities of places and business that cater to users that need supplies.

Cari Fiske Sessums, part owner of the Covered Bridge Cafe in Stayton, has been the group spokesperson for this group and her restaurant has been the meeting place of METH-BUSTERS for the past year and a half.

Meth suspect arrested shortly after jail release     

Kalamazoo, MI - A man who had just bonded out of jail on a methamphetamine charge was arrested minutes after arriving at motel room where a meth lab had been set up, police said.

The meth bust was among three Tuesday by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers and Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, according to a news release from KVET.

Man gets 40 years for meth crimes

TX - A Bastrop man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after a Tom Green County jury found him guilty of a felony drug charge Tuesday, according to a news release from the District Attorney’s Office.

Zachery Quinn Bacon Jr., 25, originally faced five to 99 years in prison for the first-degree felony of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams.
