Memphis meth lab busts increase 50%

Memphis, TN - A tip call led the Memphis Organized Crime Unit to 1382 Wells Station and a stash of Crystal Meth and Meth making materials ditched in a shed behind a vacant home.

A similar bust happened just a day before, behind a home in the 500 block of Berclair.

Woman given 19 years for leading meth ring

NV - One of the 10 people arrested in Fallon by the North Central Task Force in October was sentenced to six to 19 years in prison on Tuesday in District Court.

Melissa Ann Messick, 37, was sentenced on one count to attempt or commission of unauthorized act relating to a controlled or counterfeit substance and one count to commit a felony under the Uniformed Controlled Substance Act (third offense).

Man, 83, charged in meth case

MO - A Lebanon octogenarian faces felony drug charges after law officers found a cache of methamphetamine in his home Tuesday, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Officers working with the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, Laclede County deputies and Lebanon police found 32 grams of crystal methamphetamine, three shotguns and a pistol in the home of Samuel D. Settles, 83.

Settles was charged with first-degree drug trafficking, according to the patrol.
